Lyrics: I woke up screaming this morning
I sat bolt upright in bed
I saw a red sky dawning
Must've been something I read
Lynda, do you wanna dance
Lynda, give me half a chance
Lynda, just a passing glance
And we'll fall in love
I don't see no ship going under
Don't hear no pouring rain
Don't hear no lightning and thunder
I just hear the sound of your name
Lynda, do you wanna dance
Lynda, give me half a chance
Lynda, just a passing glance
And we'll fall in love
Keep the machinery running
If it ever gets out of hand
You can be my Wonder Woman
I'll just be your Spider Man
Lynda, do you wanna dance
Lynda, give me half a chance
Lynda, just a passing glance
And we'll fall in love
Whoa, whoa
Lynda, do you wanna dance
Lynda, give me half a chance
Lynda, just a passing glance
And we'll fall in love

Random facts: Steve Wariner was one of the musical guests at Scott Hamilton and Friends 2023, and Kurt was given the song "Lynda" to skate to. Struck by how often the name "Lynda" was repeated, Kurt created a bunch of signs with the name "Lynda" written on them to distribute to audience members in the on ice seats to hold up at key parts of the choreography. Some of the signs just read "Lynda" while others said things like "Lyndarrific", "I Could Be Lynda" and "I'm the real Lynda." He ended the number by jumping up on the stage with Steve Wariner and holding up a sign that said "Who's Lynda?" to which Steve shrugged like "I don't know!" When Kurt performed this number at the Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer show, which was much smaller with the audiencd seated on one side, he had to modify the choreogrpahy not to include these bits of audience interaction, and to have most of it face the audience.
